Australia

Today, we learned about Australia. The boys (together with the K-kids), learned that Australia is an island, it is on the continent of Australia, and it has lots of cool land formations. We talked about the The Great Barrier Reef, Ayers Rock, and The Outback. We talked about cool things Australians say differently than us...even though they still speak English. They made an Australian flag for their binders, and made an diorama of a reef to hang at home.
The kids snacked on Australian cookies that had oats and coconut in them. And then the passports were stamped.
During Sharing Time T shared his Orange Kitty car, and L shared his hat from the Bass Pro Shop. (Grandma and Pop Pop took the boys and cousin B to the BPS over Labor Day Weekend. They spent 2 1/2 hours looking at the fish in tanks, fishing poles, and everything else. L was impressed with the baby shark. The boys had a terrific time, and each came home with a new fishing hat.)
