Paraguay

Today, S taught the K-kids about Paraguay. This was an exciting country to learn about because our High School group from church went there this summer. Someone on the team shared pictures from the trip with the kids. One of the teen helpers in L and T's class went on this trip with his parents.
We learned that Paraguay has a 2 sided flag. The stripes are the same, but the emblem in the center is different on the front and back. On the front, it says Republica del Paraguay.
On the back, it says Paz y Justicia (Peace and Justice).
Paraguay is a country of many rivers. One of the rivers cuts the country in half. One side is dominated by jungle, and the other side is where most of the people live.
Many of the people raise animals for their food. And they grow their own vegetables.
And the kids made rain sticks to remind them that Paraguay gets 60" of rain annually.
