Mosaic Day

Today we missed the NOW field trip to Angel's Stadium (see the link in the sidebar). Instead, R had a breathing treatment at the Urgent Care. I didn't feel like "doing school" when it should have been a fun day, so I came up with this... The boys made Lego mosaics while R was sleeping.

After her nap, we used post-it notes to decorate the sliding glass door. The effect was somewhere in between a mosaic and stained glass. The unexpected "stained glass" was from the sun shining through the paper.

L was so proud of the art they created together. I showed L some mosaics I found on-line. And we talked about the giant mosaics made entirely with jelly beans at the Jelly Belly Factory. It turned out to be a really memorable day.
